Five week Old Kittens
Kittens will weigh approximately weigh 1 pound or 500 grams.
The strongest, most curious kitten will figure out how to get out of the nest. The others will quickly follow.
Offer gruel four times a day.
Kittens’ testicles become visible.
Play with your kittens daily! It is a good idea to wear long sleeves and pants, as they can play rough and their claws are sharp. If you sit on the floor they will play “King of the Mountain”, using your knees and shoulders as vantage points. This game is lots of fun and good exercise for them. Some kittens may be fearful at first; do not force yourself upon them. Give a kitten a day to settle into their new home without trying to approach them.
